Andrew Pierce 5 Mile Run/1 Mile Run
Course Description: A 5 mile course that is relatively flat (2 small inclines). The racers leave the Alderson Memorial Field (Alderson Elementary), head through downtown Alderson, then out along the scenic Greenbrier River and back to Memorial Field. The current course record is 28:51. There is also a 1 mile fun run and walk families, friends, and children of all ages.
Fees: $10.00 registration fee (includes t-shirt) for the 5 mile event and a $1.00 fee for the fun run/walk. Registration starts at 8:00am and the race begins at 9:00am, there is no pre-registration. The fun run/walk begins immediately following the 5 mile event.
Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and the top 2 male and female finishers in each age category. All 1 mile participants receive a ribbon.
Post Race: Refreshments provided by the VFW Women's Auxillary. Changing facilities will be available.

The Alderson 4th of July Celebration spans the entire holiday season from Saturday, June 27 through Sunday July 5 with extensive festivities and events occurring over the holiday weekend.
