Don's Daily Photo
I got out of work just in time to catch enough evening light and snowfall to capture some nice photos. When taking multiple pictures the decision is always tough deciding which is the best. In the two sets of photos below, each pair capturing the same scene, which is the best? I put my favorite first for each but would love to hear opinions on why my choices were wrong.

Just a note on what it is that makes one photo of the same scene better than the other would be helpful.

Landscape versus portrait, is one better than the other for certain situations?

Or maybe it makes no difference at all.

For two weeks my New Year's resolution has been going well. It's nice to be on a mission every day to find something picture-worthy... a positive moment captured.
